Robotic Surgery

Health1 Super Speciality Hospitals is introducing CMR Versius Surgical Robotic Minimal Access Surgery (MAS), otherwise known as keyhole surgery. Robotic Surgery is commonly used for Colorectal Surgeries, Gynaecological Surgeries, General Surgery, Urological Surgeries and Onco Surgeries.

Robotic Surgery was developed to overcome both the limitations of Minimally Invasive Surgeries and enhance the capabilities of surgeons performing open surgery. The surgeon uses controls in the console to manipulate special surgical instruments that are smaller, as well as more flexible and maneuverable than the human hand. The robot replicates the surgeon's hand movements, while minimizing hand tremors. The surgeon thus can operate with enhanced precision, dexterity and control even during the most complex procedures.

Some of the major benefits experienced by surgeons using the Robotic Surgical System over traditional approaches have been Greater Surgical Precision, Increased Range of Motion, Improved Dexterity, Enhanced Visualisation, Improved Access.

Surgeries can be performed using Robot assisted System :

  • Urological Surgeries, Uro Oncology Surgeries
  • General Surgeries, Gastrointestinal Cancer Surgeries
  • Gynaecological Surgeries, Gynaec Cancer Surgeries,
  • Head and Neck Cancer Surgeries

Benefits of Robotic Surgery :

  • Shorter Hospital Stay
  • Lesser Pain
  • Lower Risk of Infection
  • Lesser Blood Loss
  • Fewer Transfusions
  • Less Scarring
  • Faster Recovery
  • Quicker Return to Normal Daily Activities
